VisiCap

Visual impairment limits people’s ability to perform everyday tasks and deeply affects their quality of life. In particular, Hong Kong has 175K visually impaired, out of which 17,500 are economically active, making our first market manageable. VisiCap is a fashionable wearable which allows the visually impaired to navigate in their daily life and even during emergencies. It utilizes Computer Vision, a technology involving machine learning algorithms that allow computers to “see”. Three different technologies will be implemented and integrated, including voice assistance, object recognition and navigation. After entering the market successfully with support from the Hong Kong Blind Union, VisiCap will start to sell to corporates and individuals. As the development is supported by the sustainable cash flows from customer subscriptions, making the business ever-growing. Visicap is not just a business idea, it is a revolutionary device of the 21st century that will help the blind see!
