MicroTeam (μT)

The team’s goal is to find microbiological solutions to tackle the current problems of infectious diseases and antimicrobial resistance. The aim is to utilize and translate the advances in molecular technologies in the detection and prevention of infections for the practice of diagnostic, antimicrobial stewardships and infection prevention.

Activities of the company include
(1) design clinical tests using molecular approaches in the detection of infectious diseases
(2) design rapid and cost-effective detection methods for antimicrobial resistance
(3) use of next generation sequencing and bioinformatics for identification and analyses of infectious agents that are of concerns locally and globally, and
(4) develop alternative methods to modulate health and disease in humans and animals

The COVID-19 pandemic highlighted the gaps and yet transform how infectious diseases in the public health is practiced. The company’s commitment is to improve the health of individuals and our communities.
