GI disorders range from constipation and diarrhoea to bleeding and even cancer, which not only harm people physiologically but also torture them psychologically. However, the mainstream diagnosis tools, upper gastro endoscopy, are based on visible symptoms that have risks related to misdiagnosis. Moreover, small bowel is hard to reach due to its tortuous structure. Besides, the invasive method makes patients hard to tolerate.

We design and integrate miniaturized biosensors in the form of capsules for the non-invasive diagnosis and treatment within GI tract.
